New
The AMG Giro is the new turntable from AMG Factory that shares many of the qualities of his big brother, the Viella, but at smaller price and size with a 9" tonearm.
100 Items
There are many things, the Giro has in common with his big brother, the Viella; this list shows only a few of them:
- the design of the platter-bearing is almost the same, only the dimension is reduced a bit, to perfectly match the lower mass of the platter.
- the platter shows the same shape (also from below).
- the 9W2 tonearm that is used, looks like a identical copy of the 12J2 (which is used on the Viella), only shorter; in fact it uses the same key-technologies (patented bearing, antiskating-adjustment, internal wiring), but of course everything is designed to meet the needs of a 9 inch tonearm.
The new AMG Giro turntable features the AMG 9W2 9-inch tonearm and brings AMG’s sonic and visual excellence to a new, more affordable price point. The belt-driven platter is a combination of synthetic and aluminum materials and uses the decoupled spindle design of the highly-acclaimed AMG Viella V12 turntable. Similarly, the platter bearing is a scaled version of the Viella platter bearing. The Giro’s “double circle” plinth is machined from aircraft-grade aluminum and features both 33 and 45 RPM via electronic control.
“[The Giro] pulls so much information out of the grooves”
“The experience will be a revelation.”
