AMG Giro MK II with 9W2 

Introducing the next generation of AMG's celebrated Giro turntable, the Giro MK II. All critical components impacting sonic performance have been updated and improved, while maintainig the elegant minimalist design, compact form factor, and precision build quality of its predicessor.

AMG has implimented updates to the platter, bearing, belt drive and pulley interface, electronics and armboard.

These updates bring increased sonic performance by means of better resonnance control and speed
performance, while also allowing for further tonearm adaptability. With these improvements the Giro MK II sets
a new standard for performance in its price class.

Key updates and improvements:

 Heavier and thicker rim weighted POM platter with a mass of 5,6 kg for improved speed stability and
vibrational control

 Ultra-quiet Swiss-made 12v DC motor with smaller pulley for improved speed stability and power
transfer

 High mass hydrodynamic lubricated bearing with redesigned platter / subplatter interface for better
mechanical efficiency and quiet operation

 Larger, high mass armboard for better rigidity in the tonearm mount, and allowance for wider tonearm
compatibility

In addition to the above, the Giro MK II includes the following features which are standard on all AMG
turntables:

 Decoupled spindle / bearing design

 Capacitive touch speed selection with built-in electronic speed adjustment

 AMG 9" tonearm with patented dual-pivot bearing, available in standard or turbo

 AMG Reflex Clamp

 Optional linear power supply upgrade
